How these two meet

Taurus and Scorpio: two kinds of owning, and answering which one counts would settle something neither of you wants settled.

There are two definitions of ownership running here and the two of you have never once put them side by side.

Taurus owns by keeping. This is mine because I have had it, valued it and maintained it, and it stayed.

Scorpio owns by merging. This is ours because we went through it, and going through a thing together is the only property claim Scorpio recognises.

Venus assigns a value once and defends it without argument. Mars holds for 2.13 years and then turns without warning. Both fixed, so neither position has moved since the first year.

And the same two bodies rule the axis next door, at the other modality, with the ends swapped: Aries has Mars and Libra has Venus, and you have Venus and Mars. The wheel built two of its six axes out of this exact pair of bodies and then reversed them.

So the question that never resolves here is not about money, or time, or the flat. It is which of the two kinds of owning counts, and you both know that answering it would settle something neither of you wants settled.

What in this house belongs to only one of you?

For Taurus, the work is naming one thing as shared that you have been quietly keeping.

For Scorpio, the work is naming one thing as Taurus’s, out loud, and not going through it with them.

Venus keeps and Mars merges, and both of them are fixed here, so neither end has moved in years.

So which of you has been living inside the other one’s definition, and since when?

180 degrees apart

A hundred and eighty degrees apart, straight across the wheel, and a classical aspect. Opposite signs always share a modality and a polarity: both active or both receptive, both with the same instinct about speed. Their elements are the complementary pair, fire with air or earth with water. Opposite is not another word for incompatible. It is one axis seen from its two ends, and each end can only see the other.

A sign is still a general lens: it says nothing about where your Moon or your Venus actually fell. A synastry report reads your two real birth charts against each other, with the aspects that are genuinely there.
