Taurus and Aquarius: the sofa, which stopped being about the sofa in the fourth month.
The sofa. It has been the sofa for two years. Taurus wants the one that costs what a small car costs, because it will still be here in twenty years and because sitting on it is a daily fact. Aquarius wants to know why a person needs a sofa that costs what a small car costs, and is not being difficult, and genuinely wants to know.
Neither of you has ever put it the way it actually is. Taurus is not arguing for a sofa. Taurus is arguing that comfort is not frivolous and that having decided a thing is good is a sufficient reason. Aquarius is not arguing against comfort. Aquarius is arguing that a principle you cannot explain to somebody else is not a principle, it is a preference wearing a coat.
Venus settles what a thing is worth and does not reopen it. Saturn does not weigh at all: it takes a position and holds, retrograde over a third of the time and arriving in the same place regardless. Two fixed signs, two ways of not moving, and the not moving is what you have in common.
So the sofa is still not bought, and neither of you has noticed that it stopped being about the sofa in the fourth month.

For Taurus, the work is saying the reason out loud instead of restating the preference more firmly.
For Aquarius, the work is letting one thing be worth it without a defensible argument, and not mentioning afterwards that you did.
Venus settles what things are worth and Saturn settles what holds, and both of those are ways of saying: I have thought about this and I am not going to think about it again.
