How this compatibility report works
A sun sign is one point in a chart. Synastry reads the rest: where one person’s Venus falls against the other’s Moon, whether two Mars are in hard aspect or none at all, what the Ascendant of one meets in the other. Those positions are computed from Swiss Ephemeris for the exact moment and place of each birth, and the aspects are measured rather than inferred from the signs.
The report says only what the charts support. Every aspect it names is one we calculated, and a claim we did not compute is rejected before the report is ever sent. An unknown birth time narrows the report for THAT PERSON and only for them: the Moon and the Ascendant move too fast to be read without an hour, so those two come out of their side while their Sun, Venus and Mars stay in. If the other person knows their time, their whole chart still takes part, their Moon and Ascendant included. One known time is a real gain over none, and the report says which side is which in its opening rather than letting you discover it.

Questions about this report
The person whose time you know brings their Sun, Moon, Venus, Mars and Ascendant. The other brings their Sun, Venus and Mars. Crucially, the first person’s Moon and Ascendant still take part: they are read against the other person’s Sun, Venus and Mars, and those contacts are exact. One known time is not half a report, and it is not nothing. It is a real gain over knowing neither.
Yes. Both of you then bring your Sun, Venus and Mars, and the report says so in its opening rather than letting you discover it. What it will not do is name a Moon or an Ascendant it could not compute: those two move too fast to survive an unknown hour, so they come out for that person rather than being guessed.
No. Neither one is required, and they are independent of each other. Most people do not know their partner’s birth hour, and that single question is what stops people ordering a synastry chart anywhere else. Here it simply decides how much of each chart is read.
The same as your own: they are used to compute the chart and are never written to our database. Only the derived chart is stored.
No, and it will not imply one either. It describes the geometry between two charts and what that pattern tends to feel like. What you do with that is yours.
