How these two meet
Taurus and Capricorn: a Tuesday, a washing machine, and five weeks nobody will get back.
It is a Tuesday and the washing machine has been making a noise for five weeks. Capricorn has priced the replacement, found the model that lasts, and worked out that it makes more sense in March. Taurus has been standing in front of it thinking it would be nice to simply have a good one now.
Neither of you says anything, because both of those are the responsible position and you both know it.
Saturn defers. That is not meanness, it is what a body takes 29.43 years to cross the twelve signs does with time: it has a great deal of it and it spends it on purpose. Venus does not defer. Venus knows what is good, knows good things are for having, and cannot see the argument for a worse five weeks.
So March comes and the machine is replaced and it is the right one, and something small has left the room in the meantime that neither of you can name, because nothing went wrong. Nothing went wrong at all.

For Taurus, the work is naming the cost of the wait out loud, once, without reopening the decision.
For Capricorn, the work is bringing one good thing forward. Not the machine. Something small enough that being early costs nothing except the principle.
And a third: neither of you gets to call the other one frivolous or grim. You both had a reason and you both know what it was.
You will build something between you that outlasts most of what the people around you build. That was never in question.
