How these two meet
Libra and Scorpio: the one who keeps it pleasant meets the one who stopped bothering.
Venus keeps a room liveable. Libra reads the temperature and adjusts it before anyone has named a problem, and does it so early that most people never learn it was done for them.
Pluto assumes any smooth surface is covering something, because in the experience of Pluto it always was. Scorpio does not read rooms; Scorpio reads what the room is for.
At the same dinner table, then, one of you is smoothing and the other is reading what the smoothing is for. It is the most interesting thing that has happened to either of you in a while.

For Scorpio, the work is taking one pleasant thing at face value, deliberately, without checking underneath it. Not everything with a nice surface has a floor missing.
For Libra, the work is one unsmoothed answer. When you feel the reflex to make it easier, say the harder version instead. It is the only thing that ends the searching.
And notice the timing: the loop only runs when the smoothing happens first. Whoever moves first is the one who starts it.
Venus keeps the room bearable and Pluto refuses to live in a room with a false floor. You have both been right before, and neither of you was right about the other one.

Thirty degrees apart, side by side on the wheel, and not a classical aspect at all. The five Ptolemy kept are the conjunction, the sextile, the square, the trine and the opposition, and the semi-sextile is not among them. Neighbouring signs share nothing: not the element, not the modality, not the polarity. That is the geometry underneath a friction that can go years without a name. There is no angle here to have the argument about.
