What Taurus keeps, Gemini has already handed on to somebody else by Thursday.

It works, and visibly. Gemini brings the world into a house that would otherwise stop having weather, and Taurus gives Gemini a place that does not change while they are out in it.
The word you disagree about is constancy. Venus proves it by not moving.
Mercury cannot prove anything by not moving, because for air stillness is not devotion, it is just stillness.
So Taurus stays and waits to be recognised for it, and Gemini, who genuinely values it, does not think to say so, because from outside it does not look like an effort. The staying accumulates unacknowledged and turns, slowly, into a grievance with no incident attached to it.
For Gemini, the work is naming the staying as the work it is. It costs Taurus something to hold the ground while you move, and it has never once been mentioned.
For Taurus, the work is saying that you want it said. The silence is not Gemini failing to notice. It is Gemini not knowing there was anything to notice.
