How these two meet
Mercury asks what you think; the Moon answered an hour ago, in the body, without consulting anyone.
That hour is the one Gemini has spent a life not waiting through.
It works better than it should. Gemini keeps Cancer from disappearing into a mood, and Cancer gives all that quickness somewhere to land at the end of a day.
Then something is wrong. Mercury processes by talking: out loud, immediately, three versions, and the talking is the digestion.
The Moon processes by sitting. Quiet, slow, sayable in about three days. Gemini asks what is wrong, Cancer does not yet know, and the silence gets filled before it can do its work.
And Gemini reads that silence as being shut out, which is the one thing Cancer was not doing.
For Gemini, the work is asking once and then leaving real space. An hour, a day, without checking, without offering options for what it might be.
For Cancer, the work is four words: I do not know yet. They turn a silence into a wait, and Gemini can do a wait.

When something is wrong this week, Cancer says only that it is not ready to be said and that it will be. Gemini says nothing more about it until Cancer raises it.
It is small on purpose. It is also the exchange that stops a silence from becoming an accusation.
Mercury says it to find out what it thinks and the Moon waits to find out what it feels. Both are working.
