Gemini and Capricorn Compatibility

How these two meet

A promise gets made on a Tuesday and neither of you notices it being made. Gemini says a thing that is true at the moment of saying it, and Capricorn writes it down.

Nothing has been agreed. Capricorn believes something has been agreed, and is not being unreasonable about it: in Capricorn’s experience, saying a thing out loud in a serious tone is the mechanism by which things become real.

Mercury turns back 315 times a century and spends nearly a fifth of its life going over ground it has already crossed. Saturn takes 29.43 years for the twelve signs and does not revisit anything. One of these is a body for which a statement is a position taken. The other is a body for which a statement is a thought passing through.

And the ones who are not here: Gemini’s opposite is Sagittarius, who takes a passing thought and turns it into a direction without ever pretending it was a promise, and Capricorn is what comes just after Sagittarius and does not do that. Capricorn’s opposite is Cancer, who hears the tone underneath the words and answers the tone, and Gemini is what comes just before Cancer and answers the words.

For Gemini, the work is marking one sentence as provisional at the moment of saying it, out loud, in the same breath.

For Capricorn, the work is asking whether a thing was a decision, on the day, instead of filing it and finding out in March.
