It is not that Leo talks over anybody. Leo does not have to. Leo occupies the centre without effort and the room orients itself, and Gemini, who is faster and funnier and has three better versions of the thing, ends up doing the commentary from the side.
Mercury never stands more than 27.8 degrees from the Sun. That is why it is the hardest of the classical planets to see: it only ever appears in twilight, close to the glare, and it is never visible at all while the Sun is up. Not dimmer. Not there.
And the conversation about it never starts, because neither of you can start it. Between a fixed sign and a mutable one there is no cardinal modality in this house at all. Leo holds and Gemini adapts, and the thing that opens a subject is simply not present.
