How these two meet
Half past seven, and one of you is on a call that was supposed to end at six, and the other has kept the food warm and has not said anything about it, and both of those are love and neither of you has ever put it that way.
The call is not ambition. Capricorn is holding a structure that everybody in this house is standing on, and the holding does not stop at six. The warm food is not service. Cancer is holding the inside of the house, and the inside does not hold itself.
The Moon crosses the whole zodiac in 27.3 days and is the nearest body there is. Saturn takes 29.43 years and was the outer wall of the known solar system until 1781. The nearest thing and the furthest visible thing, on one axis, both cardinal, both starting.
And the axis pushes. Every hour Capricorn is out, Cancer holds the inside more completely, and the more completely the inside is held, the safer it is for Capricorn to stay out. Neither of you designed that, and both of you maintain it daily.
For Cancer, the work is leaving the inside unheld for one evening and going out.
For Capricorn, the work is ending one thing at six, on the day, when it is not finished.
The question
Who is at home, and who is out, and did either of you choose?
One conscious action
one evening, swapped
One evening this month, Cancer is out and Capricorn is in, and neither of you compensates for the other one’s absence.
Notice what does not get done. Nothing important will fail. That is the finding.
The Moon is the nearest body there is and Saturn was the edge of the known world until 1781, and the wheel put them at opposite ends of one axis.
You are both cardinal, which means you both start things, and you have spent years starting them in opposite directions and calling it a division of labour.
So what would either of you be doing tonight, if the other one were not covering the other end?
