How these two meet
Capricorn and Pisces: nothing between you has a middle, and neither of you has ever been in a hurry.
The complaint, if either of you made complaints, would be that nothing between you has a middle.
Capricorn starts things and starts them properly, with a structure and a date on them. Pisces receives them and lets them become whatever they are going to become, which is generous and is also why none of them ends up the shape it was drawn.
There is no fixed modality here, so nothing is held in place long enough to mature. A cardinal sign begins and a mutable sign transforms, and the phase in between, where a thing is simply itself for a while, does not occur.
Saturn and Jupiter are the two slowest bodies the naked eye can find and they come together once every 19.85 years, the longest wait between meetings of any two visible planets. A person gets four of those in a life. Perhaps five.
It took ten years for this to become visible and it is the opposite of what it looks like: neither of you has ever been in a hurry with the other one. Not once, in either direction, has the question of where this is going been put on the table. You have both privately assumed that was avoidance, and neither of you has checked whether the other one was avoiding anything.
How long have you both been waiting for something to begin?
For Capricorn, the work is not building the structure for one thing, and staying in it anyway.
For Pisces, the work is leaving one thing in the shape Capricorn drew, all the way to the end of it.
Jupiter and Saturn meet four times in a life, and the two of you have been going for most of one of those gaps without either of you asking where it is going.
That is all. It is not a sign of anything and it does not mean either of you is right about it. It is only unusual, and neither of you had noticed.
60 degrees apart
Sixty degrees apart, two signs along, and one of the five classical aspects. Signs at this distance always share a polarity, active with active or receptive with receptive, so their elements are the pair that gets on: fire with air, or earth with water. What they never share is modality. The agreement is about temperature and the argument is about pace.
The two rulers
Jupiter rules one of these signs and Saturn the other, and they are the two slowest bodies the naked eye can find. Saturn was the outer wall of the known solar system until 1781. They come together once every 19.85 years, measured across two thousand years of ephemeris, which is the longest wait between meetings of any two visible planets: a person sees four of them in a lifetime, perhaps five. Everything faster than these two goes round the entire wheel several times between one of their meetings and the next.

A sign is still a general lens: it says nothing about where your Moon or your Venus actually fell. A synastry report reads your two real birth charts against each other, with the aspects that are genuinely there.
