How these two meet
Aries and Aquarius: nothing has ever drifted here, and nothing has ever been looked at twice.
You decide fast and then it is decided, and you each like that about the other more than either has ever said.
The difficulty arrives eighteen months later, when the thing you decided is no longer the right thing and neither of you has the equipment to notice.
Aries started it. Aquarius took the position and holds it. What is absent between a cardinal sign and a fixed one is the mutable modality, and mutable is the one that reads the room and quietly changes course.
Nobody here reads the room. You have both been proud of that for years.
Mars runs 2.13 years between reversals, the longest gap of any planet. Saturn is retrograde 36.4 per cent of the time and arrives in the same place regardless. Two bodies that do not adapt, ruling two signs that do not adapt.
So when it goes wrong it does not go wrong gradually. It holds, and holds, and then something breaks all at once and you are both surprised.
