How these two meet
Cancer and Virgo: half past nine, the second drawer, and the thing that has been in the queue since April.
The kitchen at half past nine on a weeknight. Virgo is reorganising the second drawer, which was already reorganised in March, because the March system did not survive contact with actual weeks. Cancer is in the doorway with a cup of tea, deciding whether to say the thing.
Cancer does not say the thing. Cancer says a smaller adjacent thing, which is a habit and not a decision, and Virgo answers the smaller thing accurately and in full, and the actual thing goes back into the queue where it has been since April.
The Moon crosses the whole zodiac in 27.3 days and never looks the same twice, so whatever Cancer is holding will not be the same shape by Sunday, and Cancer knows it, which is one of the reasons for the queue. Mercury turns back three times a year over ground it has already crossed, so the drawer will be reorganised again.
There is no fixed modality anywhere in this house. Nothing holds still long enough to be dealt with, the thing in the queue included, and that is not a failure of nerve on either side. It is the absence of an entire way of being.
