How these two meet
Pisces and Aries: the one who dissolves meets the one who took a shape.
Mars is the ocean choosing, once and irreversibly, to be one specific thing. Aries knows what it wants roughly a second before anyone else in the room does, and the knowing arrives whole: not a preference, an appetite.
Neptune never made that choice. Pisces is what Aries was before it had edges, and what it becomes again when it puts them down. Wanting requires an edge to want from, and Pisces does not keep one.
This is the seam of the whole circle, the last sign and the first, adjacent by one degree and separated by everything. Pisces is the only sign that does not experience Aries as too much, because there is no edge for Aries to cross. And Aries hands Pisces a shape, which is the one thing Pisces cannot generate.
Then Aries asks what do you want. Pisces has no answer, not yet. Aries decides for both, kindly, and Pisces goes along, warmly, and the evening is pleasant.
Nobody notices for a long time that only one person has been choosing. Water does not push back. It goes somewhere else eventually, without a scene.
How long has only one of you been choosing?
For Aries, the work is waiting through the silence after the question. Pisces does have a preference, and it arrives about forty seconds after everyone else has stopped talking. You have never once been there at second forty.
For Pisces, the work is producing one want from inside yourself rather than from the room. It will feel invented. Say it anyway; it becomes real by being said.
And a smaller one that matters more than either: Aries, ask twice. The first answer here is almost always the room.
Neptune is everything before it has a name and Mars is the first thing to take one. The circle closes here, and starts here.
30 degrees apart
Thirty degrees apart, side by side on the wheel, and not a classical aspect at all. The five Ptolemy kept are the conjunction, the sextile, the square, the trine and the opposition, and the semi-sextile is not among them. Neighbouring signs share nothing: not the element, not the modality, not the polarity. That is the geometry underneath a friction that can go years without a name. There is no angle here to have the argument about.

A sign is still a general lens: it says nothing about where your Moon or your Venus actually fell. A synastry report reads your two real birth charts against each other, with the aspects that are genuinely there.
